N3gus has carved himself an illustrious back catalogue with releases on Hospital, Drum and Bass Arena, & Spearhead, high profile remixes for Circus, Warner alongside output on his own labels Bounce and Power of 3. His track ‘Walk The Walk’ with regular collaborator MC Jakes was selected as Puma’s official track for their Worldwide advert campaign during the 2016 FIFA European Championships and gained ‘Jam Hot’ status on Mistajam’s BBC Radio 1 show.
At only 20 years of age, recently qualified BA in Sound design for video games and applications, Platinum has built up a healthy reputation as one of the most technically gifted DJs in Bristol, so much-so that Carasel bought him in as his live tour DJ which touched down at various festivals this summer including Boomtown, Secret Garden party and Love Saves the Day. His 4 deck mixes have become infamous in the clubs and as a tastemaker on Bristol’s Ujima 98fm.
The duo joined forces on AFT Record’s Amsterdam E.P and their track ‘Truffle Shuffle’ was a clear stand out, the chemistry worked and the pair have been locked in the studio ever since.
The first single from the pair ‘Two’s Up/Rotter’ shows the partnerships strong potential and versatility. Released on 8TH Jan, it has already achieved positive press in Mixmag and has been boosted by a Bristol Launch party and debut show at Motion superclub.
‘Two’s Up’ Rolls out in true Bristol fashion like a nod to Roni Size’s Western bought bang up to date for 2018.
Rotter gives a more aggressive emphatic side. Almost cinematic in style and crushing in execution.
Move represents the coming together of experience and youth, technical ability and turntable wizardry, a huge talented Tattooed bearded man with a wealth of musical history and one of the sharpest turntablists in the scene with a BA in sound design and soon to be Master.
With their debut E.P confirmed for AFT early 2018 as well as lots more new music, the future is exciting, MOVE with it or get rolled over.
