Charlie Baxter has been dropping beats and wreaking havoc in the electronic and alternative music scenes for over 10 years. Producing original material, remixing other artists, and playing in touring bands, he has more recently been making music under the alias grownuplife, which is about making something very separate, more personal, and more in-tune with the life of the worn-out millennials — music for the generation who’d rather Netflix and chill than head out on an all-night rager.
With a fresh sound for older ears, Charlie takes inspiration from hip-hop, future bass and the retro cool sounds of synthwave to craft his productions. His live show is guaranteed to get an audience dancing, mixing live guitar and vocals with an up-to-date electronic sound palette of throbbing synths and driving drum beats. Charlie has released three albums and an EP under his own name, two EPs and a plethora of singles and remixes as grownuplife, and continues to perform all around the country bringing guitar music to dance fans and electronica to rock audiences.
